Mrs Won's Classroom

Imagining our specific classroom- For HW
In a group you will create a model classroom that you will refer to for the rest of the course. Include any information that will be relevant to the teaching of those students. If you think the economic status of the student matters for your classroom, enter that information. If you think race, cultural background, gender identity, religion, etc. matter- include it. Base it as much on reality as possible. If you want to work in Boston, try and find out the class size and make up of a class you are likely to teach. Make a seating chart that is typical of a classroom that you have or will encounter:

I have 16 students in my classroom. Diversity is one of the key part of this class. I have several different ethnic groups and one of them can not speak English yet. They are in 4th grade. This classroom is learning and exploring Mathematics and Science. (STEM) Most of them already know how to use a computer, dealing with information in basic level.

Through their early school years, they were encouraged to have authentic experiences using Montessori materials and method, also Reggio inspired environments.

But my school district has just adapted a new curriculum and technology to learn how to play with emerging information and communication tools. Emerging technology will impact every way in students future, so it is a great benefit for them to have their own technology center to prepare for their next workplaces.

Key point of this section: Using technology, connect the whole class, bring interactive and collaborative support to classroom, also equal access to digital information.
